Summary
Buzzkill does not collect, transmit, store on a remote server, or share personal data. Everything you configure stays on your device.
Buzzkill is published by Marcos Javier Klingler. Because no information ever leaves your iPhone, there is no server-side account, profile, or record associated with you.
What Buzzkill stores
Buzzkill stores local setup state, such as whether a bundled shortcut installer was opened, whether the local shortcut test passed, and whether setup was marked complete. These values use the operating system’s local app storage and are not uploaded.
What Buzzkill reads
On iOS, Buzzkill reads whether the system grayscale setting is enabled so it can show setup status. It cannot change that protected setting directly.
What Buzzkill does not do
- No analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or third-party identifiers.
- No background uploads, location, microphone, camera, or contacts access.
- No app blocking, shielding, time limits, usage monitoring, or content inspection.
- No sale or sharing of personal information, because none is collected.
Retention and deletion
Buzzkill holds nothing remotely, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete on your behalf. The local setup values described above live only in the app’s own storage on your iPhone. Deleting Buzzkill removes all of them.
Any Shortcuts automations you created during setup belong to Apple Shortcuts, not to Buzzkill. To remove those, delete them in the Shortcuts app. The in-app removal guide walks through this.
Children’s privacy
Buzzkill is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect data from children. As described above, the app collects no personal data from any user regardless of age.
Changes to this policy
If anything material here changes, the “Last updated” date above will change and the change will be noted in the next app release notes.
